Super Radical Feminism Protests Tebow Pro-life Superbowl Commercial

Tim Tebow – one of the most talented college quarterbacks of all time and the winner of the 2007 Heisman Trophy – is not shy about sharing his Christian faith. And some people find such openness quite offensive.
“Jewish celebrities often mention their religion in public,” said Douglas R. Scott, Jr., president of Life Decisions International (LDI). “But when someone dares to speak of his Christian faith, some seem to view it as a grave transgression.”
“‘Don’t shove your religion down my throat,’ people tell Christians. ‘Keep your religion to yourself.’ In other words, Christians are being intimidated and told to do exactly the opposite of what Jesus commanded them to do,” Scott said. “How exactly does one ’shove’ a religion down a person’s throat? Is a shovel used for that? If Christians truly believe Scripture and love their fellow human beings, it would be cruel of them – and even sinfu l- to keep the life and soul-saving truth from others.”
Openly declaring one’s Christian faith is bad enough, but it may be tolerated so long as it does not go too far. And what is an example of going “too far”? Christians who speak out against the killing of preborn human beings.
Enter some of the most radical “feminist” groups in the country. After hearing that Tebow and his mother will appear in a commercial that will air during Super Bowl XLIV, they demonstrated just how radical they really are – and they are very radical. Sponsored by the respected pro-family organization Focus on the Family, the ad presents a decidedly pro-life message.
In 1987, a pregnant Pam Tebow contracted an infection during a mission trip to the Philippines. Tebow’s doctor said the pregnancy placed her at risk and recommended that she abort the “mass of fetal tissue,” but she refused. “We didn’t believe that he was a ‘mass of fetal tissue’ because we had prayed for Timothy by name so we believed that we would just trust him to God.” In response, the football great said he is “really thankful” that his mother, whom he referred to as a “woman of courage,” did not choose to kill him before birth.
“The ad tells the story of one family and it is a message of hope, life and faith. And groups like the National Organization for Women (NOW), Feminist Majority, and the Women’s Media Center just cannot tolerate such a positive message,” Scott said. “If the story does not end in death, they condemn it.” The groups have started an online petition campaign (a common fund-raising gimmick) in an effort to convince CBS to pull the advertisement. “The groups want to impose a self-serving ‘gag rule’ by censoring the message.”
“This ad is hate masquerading as love,” said Erin Mattson, vice president of NOW. “By presenting only one option, um, for all women about when/how to have a family and not allow other viewpoints onto the air is really quite offensive.”
“The ad is ‘hate’?” Scott asked. “Sometimes one has just got to shake his head in disbelief at the depths of the ridiculous to which some extremists will sink to push their agenda. And why would both points of view be included in a paid advertisement? Will pro-abortion groups be doing so in their future ads? Will pro-abortion groups tell their celebrity supporters to be sure to mention both sides when they speak out?”
Scott said it is important to remember that the groups calling for censorship represent a fraction of the Feminist Movement. “Unfortunately, however, their outrageous extremism is casting a shadow over the entire cause.”
Life Decisions International (LDI) is dedicated to challenging the Culture of Death, concentrating on exposing and fighting the agenda of Planned Parenthood. LDI’s chief project is a boycott of corporations that fund the abortion-committing giant.
Personhood Expands into Three New States

Personhood has expanded into three new states, including Iowa, Virginia, and Kansas. Beginning on January 13, Virginia introduced HB 112, a bill to guarantee the constitutional rights of preborn children.
Shortly after, Iowa introduced HJR 2003 proposing a joint resolution for an amendment including a right to life for all men and women, irrespective of age. The same day, Kansas introduced a personhood amendment to the revisor’s office.
“A two-thirds majority of both legislative houses is needed to pass the amendment and that can be a rather challenging endeavor, so it is of the utmost importance that Kansans voice their desire to see this measure passed,” explained Keith Ashley, Personhood Kansas petition organizer.
Although attempting Personhood through several different avenues, all three call for a recognition of rights for preborn babies from the moment of their biological beginning.
“Personhood is a revolution of the pro-life movement,” stated Keith Mason, co-founder of Personhood USA. “It challenges what’s been done in the past, stimulates the movement’s present, and eradicates the need for pro-life efforts in the future. Personhood is the best hope to end abortion in America.”
Personhood USA will continue to serve as a support system for Iowa, Virginia, and Kansas, as well as the 5 states currently collecting signatures, and the scores of states working on Personhood legislation.
Personhood USA is a grassroots, Christian organization founded to establish personhood efforts across America to create protection for every child by love and by law.
Personhood USA is committed to assisting and supporting Personhood Legislation and Constitutional Amendments and building local pro-life organizations through raising awareness of the personhood of the pre-born.
101 Reasons Not to Have an Abortion – Free eBook

Just days after our nation remembered the historic Roe v. Wade decision, a new book is hot off the (electronic) press. Author Serena Gaefke chose the internet as the best forum to reach her target audience – young, unexpectedly pregnant women.
Gaefke’s work is titled, “101 Reasons Not to Have an Abortion: A Girl’s Guide to Informed Choices” and is available for download from her website at www.101girlsguide.com. Aiming at benefiting the most people possible, this child of her four year research is being made available for free.
Her statement is as follows:
“No matter what side of the abortion issue you stand, shouldn’t your choice or the choice of someone you love be informed? We are so big on ‘choice’ that we forget that if a choice is made while information is lacking it is likely to be a choice that will be regretted. But what if Planned Parenthood doesn’t give you all this information?
“What I’ve tried to do is to look at the things you normally wouldn’t consider when all that comes to mind is that abortion is the quick fix you need. I’ve come up with a full 101 reasons as to why, possibly, abortion may not be the best of choices. If abortion really is the best choice for you, then nothing in this book should sway you.
“Whichever side you’re on, it seems that we can all agree on one thing – that this a tough choice, one not taken lightly. So what can a woman do when she finds out that she is unexpectedly pregnant and her world is thrown into chaos? Hopefully a good friend will be near to tell her of 101girlsguide.com. Best of all, her informed choice will come at no cost to her. I have chosen to publish this for free in order to benefit the most women possible and hopefully fulfill one of my dreams of making a difference.
“This book includes personal stories and information gleaned from both pro-choice and pro-life sites. It’s really very thorough, as you will see by the 53 page bibliography.
“My book is not only for the people of Pittsburgh, but for the people of all states and nations. It is a labor of love that I believe is set to touch many hearts!”

It is up to us to stand, raise our voices, and protect the smallest. - Lila Rose, 2010 Walk for Life West Coast
Frank Lee, coordinator of Asian Americans Pro-Life, led the rally in a prayer at the start, saying: “Every life is precious and should be cherished. We have a tough battle in front of us, but we shall overcome when we combine our efforts to make it a perfect whole!”
Students from San Francisco high schools and from Stanford, UC-Berkeley, St. Mary’s of Moraga, St. Thomas Aquinas College, and Wyoming Catholic College marched alongside eight Catholic Bishops.
One hundred and twenty Catholic seminarians carried banners and Tom Martin, who worked for former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown before entering the seminary, said: “It’s a great opportunity for the people of God to see that the seminarians are joining with them not only in praying for life, but also taking a stand.”
Speakers included Abby Johnson, who worked for Planned Parenthood for eight years, walked away from her job as a Planned Parenthood clinic director in October after assisting in an abortion. Johnson said: “If you are here, you are an activist. We can no longer just say the words but must put our words into action.” Johnson joined 40 Days for Life, a national prayer and fasting campaign outside abortion clinics. The Walk presented the St. Gianna Molla Award to David Bereit, national campaign director of 40 Days for Life.
Lila Rose of Live Action said “The fact that we have allowed abortion in this great nation, the killing of the most defenseless and weak among us has resulted in the greatest human rights abuse I believe our nation has ever seen. It is up to us to stand, raise our voices, and protect the smallest.”
“If ever there was a time to ’seize the moment’ in the interest of unborn babies, it is now,” Evangelical preacher, author and theologian, Pastor Jim Garlow of San Diego, told the rally.
The Reverend Clenard Childress, founder of BlackGenocide.org, said “There is an obvious shifting in our culture and it stems from advances in the pro-life movement.”
Walk for Life co-founder Dolores Meehan said “The tenacity of pro-lifers, showing up in their tens of thousands, despite a downpour, is a testimony to their commitment!”
The Walk for Life West Coast was started by a group of San Franciscans in 2005 to affirm the right to life from conception to natural death and particularly to change hearts hurt by the violence of abortion.

Human Life Alliance (HLA) and Students for Life of America (SFLA) announce the second annual Campus Impact Award challenge which offers $1,000 in prizes to student clubs that promote pro-life activism during the months of February and March.
The Award encourages students to act upon their pro- life beliefs after the March for Life and other walks fuels their spark of enthusiasm. Tens of thousands of young people turn out for these local and national events.
“We’re asking students to step up and be a catalyst for pro-life action on their campus,” said HLA Deputy Director Joe Langfeld. “When young people return from these powerful events, they’re inspired to stand up for life. The Impact Award helps young people show their peers that pro-life values are alive and well on campus.”
Ideas for student projects include distributing pro-life literature on campus, poster campaigns, leafleting at basketball games, tabling in the student union and more. Three cash prizes of $500, $250 and $250 will be awarded to the top three clubs who succeed in producing creative and broad reaching educational efforts.
Kristan Hawkins, SFLA Executive Director, stated, “This is just the type of encouragement students need to cultivate a pro-life presence on campus. In turn, the new opportunities developed through the challenge will launch pro-life clubs to a whole new level of activism.”
The 2009 Campus Impact Award winners were Purdue Students for Life (1st place), University of New Mexico Students for Life (2nd place) and the Carnegie Mellon University Respect Life Club (3rd place). Each club used unique opportunities on campus to present a dynamic pro-life message. University of New Mexico Students for Life increased their club size 70% as a result of their Campus Impact project.
Students are encouraged to contact Human Life Alliance or Students for Life of America to receive a copy of the official rules. The contest begins February 1st and runs through March 31, 2010. Contestants must document their “Campus Impact” project and submit presentation information for final judging by midnight of March 31st. YouTube videos, digital photos and emailed reports will be accepted.

Personhood USA organizers have announced plans for a nationwide sweep for Personhood to recognize the tragic anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision.
Beginning in Washington D.C. on Thursday, January 21, Personhood USA cofounder, Keith Mason, will speak about Personhood USA’s 40-state effort at American Life League’s Activism Conference.
Currently, Personhood USA is activating dozens of team members to distribute 40,000 pieces of literature encouraging the mobilization of thousands of marchers in Washington D.C. These marchers will also be invited to become involved in Personhood efforts in their home states.
Personhood USA leaders including Keith Mason will then participate in Personhood events in Colorado and Mississippi where there are ongoing, vital signature drives for placing Personhood on those states’ ballots.
Finally, following a speech at Colorado Right to Life’s March for Life, a Personhood USA team will participate in California’s Walk for Life. There, Personhood USA will help the recently launched California Human Rights Campaign in its Personhood initiative by distributing 100,000 Personhood petitions and activating volunteers.
“Personhood is a revolution of the pro-life movement,” stated Keith Mason. “It challenges what’s been done in the past, stimulates the movement’s present, and eradicates the need for pro-life efforts in the future. Personhood is the best hope to end abortion in America.”
As mentioned in a recent World Net Daily article, Personhood is the unofficial theme of the Roe v. Wade memorial in 2010. The Roe v. Wade memorial events will promote awareness of Personhood rights for preborn babies and educate hundreds of thousands of people.
“Personhood is thriving because it is a no-compromise approach to ending baby murder,” explained Cal Zastrow, cofounder of Personhood USA. “When we started 14 months ago, we only had Colorado on board. God has blessed our efforts by raising up thousands of grassroots activists to work on Personhood in over 40 states!”
Millions Represented at Atlanta Together for Life Memorial

LAWRENCEVILLE, Georgia, Jan. 18 – Friday, January 22, 2010, marks the 37th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Since the Roe decision, over 50 million children have died as a result of abortion. Georgia Right to Life (GRTL) is calling for those children to be remembered through their Together for Life Memorial Service and Silent Walk.
This is Georgia’s largest annual pro-life gathering. It is being held on the steps of the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta, GA.
The Memorial Service, sponsored by Georgia Right to Life begins at 11:30 AM and is followed by a one-mile long silent, peaceful walk through downtown Atlanta.
The featured speakers at this year’s service are Ken Blackwell, former Secretary of State of Ohio and Archbishop Wilton Gregory, of the Archdiocese of Atlanta.
Mr. Ken Blackwell noted, “Abortion is not a wedge issue at all. It is a bridge issue between the parties, between religious and ethnic groups.”
On January 22, 2010, Georgia Right to Life is walking for the civil rights of every unborn child; the right to be valued in law as a person from the earliest biological beginning until natural death.
Over 30,000 abortions are performed in Georgia annually.
Georgia Right to Life promotes respect and effective legal protection for all human life from its earliest biological beginning through natural death. GRTL is one of the numbers of organizations that have adopted Personhood as the most effective pro-life strategy for the 21st century.
International Pro-Life Leaders Come to US Capitol to Protest Aggressive US Anti-Life Policies
January 21, 2010 by TheStraitGate
International Pro-Life leaders from Africa, Europe, South America, Asia and Oceania have come to the nation’s capitol to stand in solidarity with their American brothers and sisters and protest the radical expansion of anti-life policies under the Obama administration. They will speak at a conference on January 22 at the Washington Court Hotel in Washington, D.C. before joining the hundreds of thousands of other pro-lifers in the March for Life.
“America’s March for Life is now the world’s March for Life,” said Joseph Meaney, Director of International Coordination for Human Life International (HLI). “It has become the world’s pro-life protest because of the aggressive promotion of abortion and population control that is now official policy of the United States, thanks to the administration of President Barack Obama.”
“This is not only the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, which has led to the destruction of almost 50 million American children,” said Dr. Ligaya Acosta, HLI Regional Coordinator for Asia and Oceania. “This is now the anniversary of President Obama’s allowing Americans’ taxpayer funds to be used to promote abortion and other assaults on life in my own country of the Philippines, in Africa, in China… all over the world where 40 million babies are killed every year. It is wrong and we are here to tell him and Congress to stop paying to kill our children!”
Dr. Acosta was referring to President Obama’s January 23rd, 2009 reversal of the Mexico City Policy, which had, under the Reagan and both Bush administrations, restricted the use of federal funds to support any organization that promoted or performed abortion abroad. In December, this reversal allowed Congress to pass an omnibus spending bill, signed by President Obama, which included almost $700 million for abortion-promoting organizations internationally.
“We are tired of the arrogant American government trying to tell us how many children we should have,” said Emil Hagamu, HLI’s regional coordinator for English-speaking Africa. “President Obama is of Kenyan descent. How can he do this to his own people?”
“These aggressive policies are undeniably hurting America’s stature with the people of the world, even if they help America appeal to the cruel international elites who want to run everything,” said Raymond DeSouza, HLI’s coordinator for Portuguese-speaking nations. “When international aid is tied to abortion, it’s like holding a nation hostage, telling them that children are bad, which translates into hopelessness for the future. This is a terrible violence against the families and children of the developing world.”
Information on HLI’s “The Fight for Life Around the World” mini-conference can be found at www.hli.org/index.php/component/content/749? task=view.
Pro-Life Advocates Face Notre Dame Trespass Charges
May 30, 2009 by TheStraitGate

Thomas More Society attorneys appeared in St. Joseph County Criminal Court on May 28 to defend two prominent pro-life advocates against trespass charges brought by local prosecutors in the wake of protests at the University of Notre Dame.
Laura Rohling and Jane Brennan went onto the Notre Dame campus to educate students about the after- effects of abortion, based on their own personal experiences with abortion. Ms. Brennan, author of “Motherhood Interrupted,” is a frequent guest on Catholic TV and radio. She serves as regional coordinator in Colorado of “Silent No More,” a group which brings public attention to the plight of women who have experienced emotional and other pain after abortion. Ms. Rohling serves as assistant regional coordinator of that group.
“The Thomas More Society is urging the University to request that these trespass charges be dropped,” said Tom Brejcha, President and Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Society. “Such a magnanimous gesture will go far toward healing the divisions that have arisen between Notre Dame and the pro-life movement, in light of recent events.”
The Society has assembled an all-”Fighting Irish” team, including President and Chief Counsel Thomas Brejcha, Notre Dame class of ‘65, Executive Director Peter Breen, Notre Dame Law class of ‘00, and South Bend attorney David Wemhoff, Notre Dame class of ‘79, in defense of Ms. Rohling and Ms. Brennan.
“What’s vitally needed is dialogue about pro-life issues of abortion, stem-cell research, euthanasia, marriage, as well as about capital punishment and peace issues rather than confrontation in South Bend’s criminal court,” Brejcha continued. “The pro-life movement is the next stage of America’s civil rights movement, and Notre Dame is not Birmingham.”
The Thomas More Society has a history of partnership with the University of Notre Dame. The late Fr. Ned Joyce, former Executive Vice President of the University, was a regular financial supporter of the Society. Fr. Theodore Hesburgh, former President of the University, wrote fundraising letters in support of the Thomas More Society’s successful defense of peaceable, non-violent abortion protests in the landmark United States Supreme Court case, NOW v. Scheidler.
About the Thomas More Society
Founded in 1997, the Thomas More Society, Pro-Life Law Center, is a not-for-profit, public interest law firm based in Chicago and dedicated to fighting for the rights and dignity of all human life. The Society vigorously defends clients in state and federal courtrooms around the country, addressing vital issues across the pro-life spectrum, including pregnancy discrimination, end-of-life health care, the right of conscientious objection for medical workers and freedom of speech for peaceable nonviolent protest.
