This convention features over 200 of the very best Homeschool curriculum exhibitors in the nation. It also provides over 250 information packed homeschooling seminar and workshop sessions. Moreover, these seminar and workshop sessions are led by an unparalleled group of speakers, including Dr. Susan Wise Bauer, John Rosemond, Jessie Wise, Andrew Pudewa, Cathy Duffy, Doug Phillips, Rebecca Kochenderfer, Attorney David Gibbs, Douglas & Nancy Wilson, Amanda Bennett, Tim and Barb Cash, Catherine Levison, Leigh Bortins, Carol Barnier, Jim Weiss, Karen “Spunky Homeschool” Braun, Lee Binz, Dr. Stephen Guffanti, Dr. Jonathan Pennington, Attorney Christine Field, John Stonestreet, Dr. Jeff Myers, and more!!
“Previous attendees have remarked that the Cincinnati Homeschool Convention provides a combination of wide-ranging, relevant instruction and encouragement, lots of it, and extremely affordable registration pricing that is simply unheard of anywhere else in the country,” said Brennan Dean, Director.
This year’s convention also features an optional Children’s Program, as well as a sixteen-session Worldview Teen Track that is being led by John Stonestreet of Summit Ministries and Dr. Jeff Myers of Passing the Baton. And, as if that weren’t enough, on Friday evening, comedian Tim Hawkins will be performing.
Finally, each family attending this April 2010 convention will receive a free first-year membership in Homeschool Legal Advantage (HLA). This is a $65 value, free! HLA provides homeschool- related legal advice and even legal representation when necessary. Additionally, this first year membership includes a free Last Will and Testament – - for both Mom and Dad — drafted by an HLA attorney!

“Homeschoolers are as unique and diverse a group of people as you’ll find anywhere. As such, we have structured the convention in such a way that it is a veritable smorgasboard of homeschooling information and encouragement,” Dean remarked. “And, from that, each family can tailor their convention experience in a way that is most helpful and uniquely applicable to their own family.”

SEMINOLE, Florida, Nov. 25 – Homeschool Legal Advantage (HLA) is a ministry of legal helps to homeschoolers throughout the United States, and is experiencing rapid growth. HLA is an outreach of the Christian Law Association (CLA). The CLA has faithfully served churches and families since 1969, and has successfully defended over 8,000 educational freedom related cases.
In recent years, the Christian Law Association has actively assisted an ever increasing number of homeschooling families. In response to this growing need, earlier this year, the Christian Law Association created Homeschool Legal Advantage
“Since we launched Homeschool Legal Advantage, we’ve been embraced with a real outpouring of enthusiastic support from homeschooling families throughout the United States,” said attorney David Gibbs III. “We believed there was a need to serve homeschoolers in this area, and the fact that we’re on track to have over 10,000 member families by the Spring of 2010 has emphatically reinforced that. We see HLA as an important area of outreach that is consistent with the 40+ year ministry of the Christian Law Association.”
Today, the HLA team includes a large group of full- time attorneys and an additional 200+ affiliated attorneys throughout the United States. HLA stands ready to educate and empower Homeschoolers so that they can respond kindly and confidently to local officials when homeschooling questions arise. And, when direct attorney involvement or even official legal representation is required to defend the right to homeschool, members of Homeschool Legal Advantage can rest assured that assistance from one of our experienced attorneys is only a phone call away!
The HLA website provides Online Registration, an overview of Membership Benefits and answers to many Frequently Asked Questions which clearly articulate the unique philosophy and value that constitute the Homeschool Legal Advantage.
