Leading publisher of liturgical music and worship resources, OCP, has taken customer engagement and their commitment to service to a whole new level – Facebook.

Officially launched on September 28, 2010, OCP’s Facebook page (Facebook.com/OCPMusic) serves as a way for customers to communicate with the company – and each other – on a more personal level.

“There are over 500 million Facebook users, with a great number of them identifying as Catholic. Having a fan page lets us interact with them and engage them on a deeper level,” says Mónica Rada, Marketing Manager. “Asking, ‘how can we serve you better?’ and listening to real-time responses allows us to embrace our audience and share OCP’s collective identity of individual musicians, singers and worshippers.”

Features of the page include: seasonal song suggestions from OCP experts, sound samples, the latest product releases, plus news and resources to help parishes learn, teach and implement the new Roman Missal. Fans of OCP can leave comments, meet and converse with each other and even post their own content.

In addition to allowing OCP to interact with their customers, the Facebook page is a platform for collaboration among partners in Catholic ministry around the world.

“As a non-profit Catholic company, unmatched service is at the heart of our mission,” says John Limb, Publisher. “OCP’s Facebook page is an extension of that service. Not only are we better able to connect one-on-one with the people and Church we serve; we are able to offer a place for them to meet, discuss ideas and share in resources – no matter where they are physically located.”

Both Facebook users and non-users can read posted content and browse OCP’s page. However, due to Facebook’s general rules, commenting on OCP’s wall or participating in activities like spiritual reflections or promotions is currently only available to fans.
